Fresh Roasted coffee should not be refrigerated or frozen as this can:
-damage the fragile flavor oils
-create condensation on the beans and cause them to stale
-allow the beans to soak up other food aromas
It is best to store coffee in a cool, dry, dark place such as a cupboard. After each use, seal the zipper and gently squeeze the air out of the bag which will vent out the one-way valve.
*Our roastmaster's advice: Get your nose real close to the valve and breath in deep to get a highly concentrated aroma as you do this. ☺ It's pure delight.
The best way to keep your beans fresh is to grind them fresh for each use. Check out a more in depth explanation on our GRIND! page
